This hair care tip that I am about to offer you sounds really weird at first, and some of you may very well think that it is quite gross, but it really works for me! I was reading a popular New York City fashion magazine online a few months back, and they offered a hair care tip for those of us out there (ME) that suffer from puffy and frizzy hair when we shower. They called this hair care tip the 'No-Poo' philosophy. What that means is that they advised – and keep in mind this is a top NY stylist who advised this and wrote the section – that you use shampoo far less often than you used, way far less. I first though how yucky, no soap on my scalp for days? But they explained that hair gets far less dirty than one might think and that shampoos actually can strip many of the oils and other properties out of the hair, causing the puffiness and frizz to appear in the first place. The solution that they suggested was simple: use small amounts of conditioner when you shower, and shampoo your hair once every other week. So far this hair care tip has worked wonders for me!
