skin care, body lotion

I think from the time I could walk, mom was teaching me the importance of proper skin care. She always used the best skin care products and it is probably why mom looks so great even though she's in her early 60's. I have friends who are twenty years younger who look older than my mom, and when I mention it to her, she blushes and says it's all in proper skin care. The reality is I do believe in many ways that she's right. Maybe because she's always stressed to me the importance of proper skin care or maybe it's just because I see it myself as something that makes a difference in the way a person ages. After all, I may be in my early 40's, but most people who guess my age think I'm in my late 20's.

I can't say that I attribute it all to skin care though, although I definitely know that it helps. I also believe getting enough sleep, eating well, and not smoking also plays a part of a healthy skin care regiment, even though some may not agree with me. I don't need to look any further than the mirror to see that it has made a difference to me, and that's the important thing.

During the winter months, I always have to pay extra attention to my skin care regiment and change the products that I use to make sure that my skin is getting the extra moisture that it needs, since it does tend to dry out in the winter. One of my favorite skin care products is 5th Avenue by Elizabeth Arden women Body Lotion 6.8 oz that I found at Discount Real whose online store can be found by visiting www.discountreal.com. I use it year round, but I tend to use it more this time of the year.

Now that I have a daughter that is 5 going on 30, I caught myself the other day sharing the importance of skin care products with her. She wanted to know what I was doing when I was putting some lotion on my face, and so I explained it to her. She asked if she could have some on her face too, and I figured it was never too early to start, so I smeared a little on her face as well. I couldn’t help but smile, and when I told mom about it, she said it reminded her of me at that age, always curious.
